Well, let's first start with what is a Bloke ? British slang for man, guy, chap or geezer. Having been educated in the UK and travelled extensively, working in Hong Kong, Australia, Bahrain and the USA, local slang or localisms have always been of interest. Most of my travels have been in the pursuit of setting up and running businesses , evangelizing concepts or launching new products.
I started my career in the telecoms space, selling Tandem based collaboration services to companies in the UK and USA. In the early 90s I enjoyed being part of the first big internet wave, building, positioning and selling Internet Service provider and mail exchange Platforms to operators all over the world. Over the last 26 years I have launched products for over a dozen companies , six of which I co-founded or was part of the founding team. Some of my best learnings came from the evangelization of emerging products in the SAAS and Data Analytics space. I have a passion for growing businesses in the high tech and high growth software space, taking companies from concept to exit or innovating existing products focusing on Product-Market fit. I believe that successful businesses are constantly evolving and transforming so they can address the next set of market opportunities. I have found that adopting approaches outlined by the Lean StartUp movement and continual focus on Product-Market fit during the innovation process help teams to align around the right things and ultimately maximize the chances of success in new endeavors.
